The brief
Pet records end up scattered across email inboxes, camera rolls and paper folders, and the right document is never there when the vet, sitter or boarding kennel asks. güdpet was started by two sisters after adopting Syd, a senior Chihuahua, and living that chaos firsthand. They needed a brand that felt friendly rather than clinical, a website that explained the app in seconds, and a product calm enough to use at the vet's front desk or during a 2 a.m. emergency.
What we did. Step by step.

A friendly, storybook identity
The güdpet wordmark is set in a soft, high-contrast serif in butter yellow, with a round "g" mark for the app icon. Periwinkle blue, butter, midnight navy and cream give it a warm, vintage feel, and DM Serif Display with Lato keeps headlines charming and body text easy to read.

A website that feels like a Sunday afternoon
The homepage opens with the giant wordmark over a sky and sea photo, a dog on a picnic blanket, and the line "Pet Care App That Makes Pet Parenting Easy". The page then walks through the five tools pet parents reach for most, the three-step setup and real stories from pet parents, with solutions for parents, shelters and pet businesses.

How it works in three steps - 03
One home for every pet
The dashboard puts the pet first: a profile card with breed, age, weight, vet, allergies and a five-letter share code. Around it sit vaccines with clear status labels, documents on file, who the profile is shared with, and a "Coming up" list of boosters, doses, checkups and grooming, with Pawl, the built-in care assistant, answering questions in plain language.

Insights that grow with the history
The insights view turns notes and records into patterns that are easy to miss visit by visit: a year of weight against the target, how often meds were given on time, records and vet visits this year, and itching flare-ups that return every spring. Pawl suggests the next step, like a reminder to start allergy meds early, without replacing the vet.

Health insights over time - 05
An app built for the front desk
On the phone, the Pet ID shows the essentials and a QR code to scan at the vet or kennel. Care shows today's doses and the month ahead, and Sharing lets owners invite a vet, sitter or co-parent by link or code, set an end date and revoke access anytime.

The result. What it delivered.
güdpet launched with one consistent system across the brand, website and app, and is now live on the App Store and Google Play, free for the first pet. With the product designed end to end, the founders went on to raise more than $2M in their first funding round.
